Community Service

Since May 2021, I have been actively involved with Zephyr Organisation in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, where I spearheaded initiatives to provide menstrual education to over 600 students, leading a team of 9 members. I successfully onboarded and mentored 35 volunteers, focusing on research, communication, and media. One of our significant achievements was raising INR 3,44,500 through period-positive merchandise stalls (33%) and crowdfunding (67%). This funding enabled us to purchase and distribute reusable pad packages to 842 underprivileged menstruators across rural India, offering them significant financial savings of approximately INR 7,560 per person over 1.5 years. Additionally, I collaborated with other organizations to conduct awareness drives, promoting menstrual health and hygiene. Zephyr’s work has contributed to creating lasting impact in rural communities, while also raising awareness and addressing period poverty. Through this project, I gained valuable leadership and community engagement experience.
